We are very excited about the opportunity to reach out to the Honduran People. These people are so
often forgotten and broken, even among the poorest of the poor they are overshadowed by the looming
problems elsewhere. The youth are filled with potential and with the proper tools could change the future
of their country. We have seen lives turned from hopeless to empowered by simple yet sincere love
and encouragement. Click on 'Honduras Info' to learn more about these wonderful people.
The process of returning, long term, to Honduras is continuing, following this winter trip we hope to return
permanently as soon as possible. It has been, and continues to be a challenging task -
preparing to set up the Outreach Center and the long term projects we are anticipating;
while, saying Goodbye to Friends and Family.
We would love to share our plans with you before leaving. Please contact us to find out when we will be in
your area. It is so good to have friends, new and old, sharing our Vision for the Honduran People.
Without the love and support of friends and family, this task would be unbearable. Thank you to all of you
who have encouraged us thus far.

•
Pray – to prepare our hearts for what is ahead. And to have the strength and ability to complete all that needs to done here in the states before going.
•
Pray – to prepare the hearts of those we will be reaching out to, and those whom we will be working and living. And especially for those hit hardest by the storms.
•
Partner - We will need financial partners. We can not undertake this mission alone. It has been requested that we have 3 months of donations before we leave for the field. Please consider joining us in this amazing mission.

Starting in 2000 – God created in us a deep passion for the Central American people, through short term trips and fellowship within a Spanish Speaking Church here in San Jose - this passion has never dimmed but continued to grow. We never imagined where it would lead.

Tim visited Honduras in ‘03, and saw people, who were tired and beat up by their day to day lives, and a

harvest – just waiting for them. It’s like they were climbing a hill, and were too tired to reach the top and
see all that God had for them – just waiting over the crest, and we knew we needed to go and
encourage them. The Old Testament tells a story of Moses, standing on the top of a hill – leading his
army from that vantage point, and as long as his hands were raised, they fought and were winning,
but he became very tired, and his hands began to drop, and they began to lose. Then two men came
along side of him, and held up his arms – and the battle was won. In that same way we need to
go and encourage the people Honduras, they are good people, but they are tired. We don’t need to go
take over, but to encourage them, and at times equip them, to do the task before them.
We lived in Honduras during 2004-2005, Tim mentored Natan, a young gifted pastor and many young men, encouraging the men to stand firm in their faith and make a difference in their community. Jaclyn's favorite activity was working with the young girls and women. The girls in Honduras are so sweet, but have been battered about by a culture that gives them no value. They joyfully drank in the understanding that God loves them, and sees them as pure and blameless. There were 7 girls in November, we had 36 for their first ever retreat in February, and by the end of the year there were 75. Other areas we worked in are outlined under Student Aide and Photos. We share their photos on the photo page.
God has extraordinary work, ready to be done, by ordinary, not so perfect people.
We returned to Honduras this past summer, we spent 6 weeks renewing those wonderful relationships and visiting over 20 different people groups - to access the retention of what we had shared and where God would have us return. The lessons taught, the growth we saw during our first term, was maintained at unbelievably high levels. We could not have been more thrilled.
Seminar Opportunities
Jaclyn has developed an Interactive Children's program, helping children learn about Honduras, the struggles of Third World Countries and Missions, all in a fun way. Complete with stories, songs, crafts and taste testing, age appropriate for 1st - 5th grade.
Both Tim and Jaclyn are also available to share with either Men's or Women's groups the interesting 'Life Lessons' learned
along the way in Honduras. Not specifically a Missions Presentation, but general reflections on life's day to day moments and the changes to your perspective that come with spending time in a different culture.
And yes, we would love to share with you and/or your group our Multi-Media Presentation on the StepUp Honduras Program, Life in Honduras and our plans to positively impact the people we so dearly love. There are mini presentations of 15 minutes to a full presentation of one hour.
