Summer Trip 2007 Photos
Jaclyn 5 never gets much time with the little ones, so this summer it was fun she had the chance to teach them a few songs and play some games.

A dear friend had a precious
little boy a year ago.  Jaclyn was able to work with her teaching her therapy techniques and exercises.
The Williamsons 5 moved to the mountains just above Pinalejo in 2005.  It was great to get the chance to be together again this summer.
Pray for them as they create a recreation center to teach team concepts, self confidence, and nature appreciation. Want a  peek at some of the things creeping and crawling around Honduras? Click here
Natan 5  was thrilled beyond his dreams to receive a lap top donated by friends in San Jose.
Everyone in his church is uses it!

Tim took Luis 8 up in the mountains visiting, mentoring one on one has proved very effective.
Fires were a big problem due to the recent draught.

Jaclyn delighted in a rare opportunity to take the girls away  6   for a one day retreat, to relax, swim & review old lessons.
Tim spent a lot of the summer trip on his knees.
Praying?  6 Well that too!  Praying to go more than a few days without a flat tire.  Honduran roads are brutal - on your car and on your back.
We were privileged to attend 6 weddings inside the San Pedro Sula's Prison.
This  is a very positive step in a country that does not honor marriage.  They had completed 6 months of pre-marital counseling with one of  the Pastors.   Wow - What an event!

Louisa 5 Quilber's Mom and the best cook in Pinalejo !!!  And I remembered how to make tortillas!

Those living in the mountains face a difficult life, their greatest joy is sharing with others when they can.
7 They also make the best of what they have.  Notice the Iron on the wood burning stove?  Second-hand clothes are lovingly cared for.
Another perfect location for a Outreach Center would be in the mountains above Ocetepeque.  The Pastor's vision here is to plant  churches along the ridge so that no one has to walk further than One hour each direction.  They have one building finished while the other 2 groups are meeting in houses and empty lots.  They waited for us for two days (car trouble again!), and still joyfully welcomed us.  But they found it hard  to say "Adios" when told it would be a year before we could return. (So did we!)  They were especially enthusiastic about our Mentoring Program for young men,
This group of churches, under the direction of Pastor Lazarus - who works full time outside the church, became very close to our hearts, very quickly.  In the three pueblos of Quimistan, San Marcos and San Francisco they work together to help all of their people and their communities.  They were also excited about the possibility of adopting the Community Impact Day concept from our church, The Journey, here in San Jose.  One of the groups is meeting under a tree, while praying for at least a roof before the rainy season hits.  Jaclyn fell in love with Lazarus' wife Judith, seen here planting one of her famous air kisses.  This is one of the locations we are considering for planing our Outreach Center.  Please pray with us for direction, there are so many needs.
